Noosa North Shore Car Ferries operate two car ferries 365 days a year from the river end of Moorindil Street, Tewantin and depart approximately every ten minutes. The ferry is open 5:30am - 10:20pm Sunday - Thursday, and 5:30am - 12:20am Friday & Saturday.

Tewantin is approximately 1.5 hours drive north of Brisbane. To find Noosa North Shore Car Ferries, exit the Bruce Highway at Cooroy and turn left where you see the Shell Service Station in Tewantin.

After crossing the Noosa River aboard Noosa North Shore Car Ferries, a bitumen road takes you to the North Shore beaches. From here, engage 4WD and enjoy a scenic and spectacular sixty kilometer drive on the beach to Double Island Point and Rainbow Bay. On the way, stop at the Red Canyon and Coloured Sands. The Coloured Sands can be viewed on Teewah Beach but there are more spectacular views when going over the Liesha Crossover at Double Island Point. Visit the historic lighthouse where large turtles and dolphins abound. It's a great vantage point for watching the whales migrating past the point. Noosa North Shore is a fishing paradise, so take your rod and tackle and don't forget the sunscreen!!
